Experience:

Brenna joined the Holsinger audit staff full-time in August of 2017, after graduating from Waynesburg University in April of 2017 with her Bachelor’s in Forensic Accounting. Prior to her work with Holsinger, Brenna spent her four collegiate years as a student accountant for the University business office. Throughout her time at Holsinger, she has gained experience in working with a variety of privately-owned entities in a range of industries, including: manufacturing, construction, coal, employee benefit plans, transportation, government, power generation, and non-profit organizations. In working with these industries, Brenna has gained experience and understanding of consolidations and subsidiaries, foreign currency and accounting, hedging arrangements, compliance, and contract accounting. Her responsibilities as a staff in these engagements include understanding the entity and industry of the client, risk analyses, detailed fieldwork and analytical procedures, financial statement review and reporting, correspondence with clients and board members, attending routine CPE lectures and events, and training other incoming staff.

Education and Certifications:

  • BSBA in Forensic Accounting – Waynesburg University, Summa Cum Laude
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by the AICPA
  • Currently attending CCAC to complete remaining credits for CPA licensure

Professional Recognition and Development:

Brenna currently resides in McCandless Township, with her husband, Evan, who is a sales representative for Precision Laser & Instrument. In her free time, Brenna enjoys boxing, tennis, reading, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on her Pittsburgh sports teams.
